In the summer of 2007 i an my fahter have been in the Punta de Leste, in Uruguay. During the first week we stayed in Montevideo, capital of country. All the trip was by car.
During scound and last weed we stayed in Punta de Leste, the city is as on a skore, many people and beatiful beach. The hotel was expensive but is very good, in front of beach.
Uruguay is a nice trip, if you can, go!!
PS: In Uruguay i learned some words in spanish, but i cant speak the leanguage.
